Are you locked out of your 2FA methods or passwords and can’t reset it? Learn how to unlink your email to create another account (some data-preserving measures will be in place) or how to reset your password, but first let’s show you 2FA Reset, which you should try first if your issue is a 2FA issue, if your issue is a password one then use Password Reset first
2FA Reset
You can also ask a Coding Hut admin to turn off 2FA for your account. However, this only works when your account isn’t an admin account. So basically on the main thread for Coding Hut (on Scratch), you ask for a 2FA reset, but remember to post using a verified account on your profile (this only works with verified account, not mentioned accounts). You can also ask via a coding hut forums alt account if you have one.
Unlinking Your Email
You can unlink your email address by creating a new account with a temp email (like with pluses in the email or fake emails) and then verifying that Scratch account, and saying you want an unlink. Make sure the account you need to unlink was originally linked with a scratch account and the one you are linking with the new account is the same. Then we will also process a data recovery if we can. On your account that you lost access to, we will remove the email so you can attach it to your new account. You can also verify a mentioned account (the user says that they own the account on their profile or of the username matches a scratch account) if you forgot to link your account.
Password Reset
It’s pretty simple actually, just go to use the reset password button. Can’t do that? Contact Us via Scratch or an alt account.
